Ida Ekblad’s institutional solo exhibition WORLD’S LARGEST METAPHOR opens at The Hepworth Wakefield in November 2026. This is the artist’s first major solo presentation in the UK, featuring a new series of oil paintings which explore the dimensional and sculptural qualities of paint. These will be displayed alongside Ekblad's large-scale glass, cast iron, and hand-painted bronze sculptures, which bring her paintings into three dimensions, creating an exciting visual experience for visitors. The exhibition travels to Kunsten, Museum of Modern Art Aalborg, in Summer 2027.
